What is Covid-19 ?
Coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person. It spreads the same way the flu and other respiratory diseases spread:
- Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes
- These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled
- Between people who are in close contact with one another (within approximately 6 feet)
Representatives from various sectors that impact the public including government, healthcare, education, and our business community are sharing information to support preparedness efforts. Working together and keeping our citizens informed will help us collectively facilitate a strong response for our City and the public as a whole.
