UNION CITY CELEBRATES GRAND RE-OPENING OF MAYORS’ PARK
The wait is over as Mayors’ Park in Union City has officially re-opened.
To celebrate the park’s re-opening, Mayor Vince Williams and the City Council were joined by residents and staff on Thursday, September 5, 2019 where the ribbon-cutting took place and was followed by a commemorative walk around the park.
“What an amazing Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Mayors’ Park,” said Mayor Williams. “The City Council and I are truly committed to providing an enhanced quality of life for our community and making renovations to our existing parks is evidence of that commitment. These amenities allow our citizens to connect with each other, explore commonalities, and help shape the City.”
City residents, friends and visitors are encouraged to stop by Mayors’ Park. Located on Watson Street and adjacent to City Hall, the park has outdoor fitness stations, an improved walking track, a new water fountain and beautiful landscape.
