The City of Union City is committed to the safety and well-being of our residents, businesses, staff members and visitors.  Essential to this commitment is open communication with our community about COVID-19 (Coronavirus).  Critical steps are necessary in following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control.  Careful planning is being used to determine the measures we are taking regarding the adjustments to our operations including event cancellations, and closings.  Health and safety remain our highest priority.

We are working with our partners at the county, state, and federal levels to monitor and understand the risks associated with the virus as well as the impacts it poses for communities.

Fulton County's Office of Epidemiology conducts mandated surveillance and reporting of notifiable diseases and medical conditions. Their program conducts disease, cluster and outbreak investigations, and coordinates appropriate prophylaxis and interventions in many of those diseases as well as any cluster of illnesses in order to prevent secondary cases. Epidemiology provides consultation and education on these diseases and works with County, City, and State government agencies to enable appropriate public health follow-up for cases, contacts, and healthcare providers.

The Fulton County Board of Health recently shared their Diagnoses Report of confirmed cases by region. The report outlines COVID-19 statistics by City and Zip Code.
