The City of Union City is committed to the safety and well-being of our residents, businesses, staff members and visitors.  Essential to this commitment is open communication with our community about COVID-19 (Coronavirus).  Critical steps are necessary in following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control.  Careful planning is being used to determine the measures we are taking regarding the adjustments to our operations including event cancellations, and closings.  Health and safety remain our highest priority.

We are working with our partners at the county, state, and federal levels to monitor and understand the risks associated with the virus as well as the impacts it poses for communities.

The National League of Cities held a briefing at its annual Congressional City Conference. Speakers talked about local government leadership priorities and coordination between cities and the federal government in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

MARTA TO HOLD VIRTUAL PUBLIC HEARINGS ON FY2021 OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGET

 The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Board of Directors will hold two virtual public hearings to consider the proposed the fiscal year 2021 Operating and Capital Budget on Monday, May 18 at 11 a.m. and Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m.
