Operations is responsible for the planning, evaluation and improvement of the daily operations of Union City. The Department works hard to provide support, guidance, communications, and leadership to help assure that quality municipal services are provided to the City’s stakeholders. Operations markets, promotes, and implements Union City’s brand. This culminates into the City’s Newsletter, E-Blasts, and print mediums. The Department also strives to provide the highest services essential to municipal success and quality improvement. Simply stated, the Department undertakes the following:

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities to support a seamless municipal environment and excellent customer service
  • Serves as a liaison and works closely with municipal departments

In addition to the aforementioned, the Operations Department comprises three critical components: Parks and Recreation, Special Events, and Information Technology. These programs, in tandem, support the Department in furthering its goals to provide excellent customer service to those who live, work, visit and play in Union City.
